History: call recordings
The server can store several months' worth of voice communication and call details in all groups and between all users. The configuration of the retention policy is up to the administrator. This data can be accessed through the History plugin view in T.Rodon. Here you can do the following:
- View call details: time, date, duration, user and channel
- Play back voice recordings (individual and group calls)
- Save recordings to an external storage device
- Filter recordings
The TASSTA system records conversations in real time and keeps the recordings on the T.Lion server. The only consideration for the retention of recordings is how much disk space the server has. This affects your administrator's decision on how much recent data to make available to users.
The recording list in the History plugin view lets you browse and listen to previous calls. What exactly constitutes a separate recording is configured by the administrator in T.Commander. By default, a new history item is created if 10 seconds or more have passed since the previous push of the PTT button.
Each item in the list shows the date, time and duration of the call, the group to which the call was addressed and the user that made the call. The group is not displayed for individual calls: when the call was not addressed to a group, a username is shown only. Emergency calls are marked as EMERGENCY records.
Recordings are sorted by date in descending order (from latest to earliest).
Each item in the list has player-style controls that you can use for playback: a Download button which turns into a Play/Pause button after the download, a Stop button and a progress bar.
To filter the records, expand the Filter area. Add the parameters you want to filter by, provide values for them, and click Apply. You can combine as many parameters as necessary – this will have the effect of composing an AND expression.
- To get recordings from a particular time period, add a Date and Time parameter with the Between operator, and set the date and time range for it.
- To get recordings where a specific user participated, add a User name parameter and select the user.
To save the current state of the recording list, with the filters applied, click the Export to XLSX button in the top right corner and specify where to save the file. You can view the resulting file in Microsot Excel or any other spreadsheet software that supports the XLSX format.
