Configuring bridged channels

T.Bridge can connect to one or more talk groups from Vocality RoIP gateway. The connection settings are specified as an array of objects in Configurations section:

Parameter Description
ChannelName The name of the bridged channel. Might differ from the talk group name.
RtpPortIn The port on T.Bridge machine to receive the voice data from the Vocality RoIP gateway. Corresponds to the peer listen port of the talk group.
RtpPortOut The port on the Vocality RoIP gateway to receive the voice data from TASSTA network. Corresponds to the this listen port of the talk group.
HostDst IP address of the Vocality RoIP gateway.

Creating a bridged talk group

  1. Connect a computer to ETH2 port of Vocality RoIP device using a standard Ethernet cable.

  2. Open Vocality Gateway Node web interface in a web browser. Use the address http://admin.vocality.com/ or http://192.168.0.199/

  3. Go to Radio -> Talk Groups.

  4. Click Add Talk Group.

  5. Select a configured audio port and click Next.

  6. Click No on Sip Account Configuration and click Next.

  7. On Talk Group Configuration step:

    • Select G.723.1 Audio Codec;
    • Select Receive VAD PTT Mode;
    • Select Voice traffic Quality of Service.
  8. Click Next.

  9. Make sure that Stream to Remote Peers is set to Yes and remember the following parameters:

    • This Port - this value should be specified in RtpPortDst parameter of the bridged channel in T.Bridge configuration;
    • Peer Port - this value should be specified in RtpPortIn parameter of the bridged channel in T.Bridge configuration;
    • Peer Address - this value must match the IP address of T.Bridge machine.
  10. Click Finish.

Getting parameters of the existing talk groups

  1. Connect a computer to ETH2 port of Vocality RoIP device using a standard Ethernet cable.

  2. Open Vocality Gateway Node web interface in a web browser. Use the address http://admin.vocality.com/ or http://192.168.0.199/

  3. Go to Radio -> Talk Groups.

  4. Click the talk group and check its parameters:

    • Audio Codec: G.723.1;
    • PTT Mode: Receive VAD;
    • Quality of Service: Voice traffic.
    • This Listen Port - this value should be specified in RtpPortDst parameter of the bridged channel in T.Bridge configuration;
    • Peer Listen Port - this value should be specified in RtpPortIn parameter of the bridged channel in T.Bridge configuration;
    • Peer Address - this value must match the IP address of T.Bridge machine.

If the values do not match, click Edit button and adjust them.
