Deploying T.Bridge

T.Bridge to Vocality is a Linux daemon. It connects to T.Lion server and Vocality RoIP gateway via a standard WAN/LAN.

To deploy T.Bridge:

  1. Download and unpack T.Bridge distributive.
    Note: Further steps assume that T.Bridge is extracted to /usr/local/tassta/bridge3/. Adjust the examples if necessary.
  2. Go to the directory to which T.Bridge is extracted and run a command chmod +x bridge3.
  3. Modify the configuration. It is recommended to use a custom configuration file name to ensure it is not overwritten with the default configuration when T.Bridge is updated.
  4. Configure T.Bridge to Vocality service in /lib/systemd/system/tassta_vocality.service:
   [Unit]
   Description=TASSTA vocality daemon
   After=network-online.target
   ; uncomment the next line if T.Bridge is installed on the same computer as T.Lion
   ; After=tasstad.service

   [Service]
   Type=simple
   LimitNOFILE=65536
   ExecStart=/usr/local/tassta/bridge3/bridge3 -cfg=/usr/local/tassta/bridge3/<CONFIGURATION FILE NAME>
   Restart=on-failure
   RestartSec=10s

   [Install]
   WantedBy=multi-user.target

Note: Replace <CONFIGURATION FILE NAME> with the actual configuration file name, modified on step 3.

  1. Make T.Bridge to Vocality start when the server boots:
    systemctl enable tassta_vocality.service

  2. Start T.Bridge to Vocality service:
    systemctl start tassta_vocality.service

  3. Add aliases to conveniently manage T.Bridge to Vocality service:

    • Start a service (start-vocalityserver): alias start-vocalityserver='systemctl start tassta_vocality.service'
    • Stop a service (stop-vocalityserver): alias stop-vocalityserver='systemctl stop tassta_vocality.service'
    • Restart a service (restart-vocalityserver): alias restart-vocalityserver='systemctl restart tassta_vocality.service'
    • Check the service status (status-vocalityserver): alias status-vocalityserver='systemctl status tassta_vocality.service'
    • Show the service log (log-vocalityserver): alias log-vocalityserver='journalctl -f -u tassta_vocality.service'

Updating T.Bridge

  1. Download the new version and unpack it to the same directory where T.Bridge to Vocality is installed.
    Important: Be careful not to overwrite the active configuration!
  2. Restart T.Bridge to Vocality service: systemctl restart tassta_vocality.service or restart-vocalityserver if you have configured aliases.
