T.Bridge configuration

Once the radio is connected to the computer running T.Bridge, modify provider-specific data in the configuration file.

Parameter Required Description
ProviderDriver Yes Must be pei.
SSILen Yes Length of Sepura radio SSI, in bytes. Set to 8.
RootChannelName No The base channel name for the bridged Sepura radio. This channel will appear in TASSTA network when T.Bridge is running. All channels from the radio will be presented as sub-channels.
If omitted, the base channel will be named "PEI".
AvailableGroups No An optional filter for bridged channels in form of a string array. If provided, only the channels with names specified in the value of this parameter are available in TASSTA network.
If omitted, all channels will be bridged.
SSIS Yes The list of bridged portable radios. Only the radios with SSI's specified in the value of this parameter are bridged to TASSTA network.
StatusTable No The mapping of common status messages for the Sepura radio and TASSTA network. See Configuring common status messages for details.
Resources Yes This section defines how T.Bridge communicates with the connected radio. See Connected radio settings for details on individual parameters.

Connected radio settings

Resources section defines how T.Bridge communicates with the connected radio. Configuration parameters are provided as an array of objects.

Device

Virtual COM port number of Sepura radio in COM\<#> format. To find the actual port:

  1. Open Device Manager from Windows Control Panel.
  2. Expand Ports (COM and LPT).
  3. Locate the communication port for the connected radio.

InputDeviceID

Unique identifier of the audio device (audio-in jack) which receives sound from the radio. If you are using the default recording device, provide the empty string ("").

If you want to use an alternative device, provide its ID:

  1. Open Sound from Windows Control Panel.
  2. Switch to Recording tab.
  3. Double-click the device to which you have connected the analog audio output from the radio (3.5mm audio jack).
  4. Click Properties button.
  5. Switch to Details tab.
  6. Select Children from Property list.
  7. Right-click the value which contains {0.0.1.00000000}. and click Copy in the context menu.
  8. Paste the value in InputDeviceID property and remove the part before the first curly brace ({).

OutputDeviceID

Unique identifier of the audio device (audio-out jack) which transmits sound from TASSTA network to the radio. If you are using the default playback device, provide the empty string ("").

If you want to use an alternative device, provide its ID:

  1. Open Sound from Windows Control Panel.
  2. Switch to Playback tab.
  3. Double-click the device to which you have connected the analog audio input from the radio (3.5mm audio jack).
  4. Click Properties button.
  5. Switch to Details tab.
  6. Select Children from Property list.
  7. Right-click the value which contains {0.0.0.00000000}. and click Copy in the context menu.
  8. Paste the value in OutputDeviceID property and remove the part before the first curly brace ({).

Speed

The speed of the virtual COM port of Sepura radio. Default is 38400 bits per second. To find the actual speed:

  1. Open Device Manager from Windows Control Panel.
  2. Expand Ports (COM and LPT).
  3. Double-click the communication port for the connected radio.
  4. Switch to Port Settings tab.
  5. Check the value in Bits per second field.
